Introduction

General Information

A lot of hard work goes into owning and operating a business, regardless of size. In many instances the sacrifice is tremendous, but the reward can be well worth it. Blood, sweat and tears come to mind when considering the sacrifices made.

Protecting that hard work and sacrifice is extremely important, especially with the vast liability concerns attached to owning a business. One incident can truly take down a business that isn’t properly covered.

What is Business Insurance?

Essentially business insurance protects from loss that may come from a variety of events that may occur from normal day to day operations. Businesses identify risks and cover those risks under policy. Those risks may include liability, property damage and employee-related risks.

What is the Business Owners Policy?

Essentially the Business Owner Policy (BOP) consolidates protection from all major liability and insurance risks into one package. The insurances covered under the BOP can typically be purchased individually as well.

This is needed to cover any loss due to an interruption of the operation of a business due to causes such as fire, wind or other catastrophe.

Property Insurance

This is for covering the building and contents that the business owns. There are two types, standard or special with the special property insurance that provides more comprehensive coverage.
